Hello every one from the Garden State. Looking forward to others helping me with my Early Bobcat 21" Mower. I want to install a 21" mulching blade instead of my 20 3/8 normal blade. My problem is that my blade has a 3/8 center bolt hole with two other smaller holes for centering ?? on into the crankshaft and most blades are 1/2 inch or larger dia. Do not want to jury riggings as motor runs well with no vibrations. The blade I purchase is always for a Sensation mower ?? My neighbor mows lawn for removal of fallen leaves and clippings are minuscule compared to my bags of leaves At least ratio 5-1 and all the traveling to curbside. Any help with a replacement blade would be greatly appreciated. Rich B

Hello,
Newbie to mower repair and wanting to post about how (if it's possible) to find the correct starter motor for a circa 1998 Huskee 14AS833H131 mower. Google searches have left me confused thus far. Still a good mower and don't wanna get rid of it just yet.
Thanks!

New user Yvesdm3000
Hello,
I'm a new user on this forum after the acquisition of a second hand Honda HF 2114H.
Previous owner messed with it, bypassing all safety sensors and put a car battery where you place your left feet: Result: cracked plastic.
There were 2 cracks in the top cover of the bin, which I successfully welded using some red ABS rods. This way I'm sure the plastic is ABS and can weld the rest.
Also the mower deck has some holes in it at the side that I'm currently repairing & giving the rest a paint overhaul by removing rust and painting.
I hope I can find info & tricks of this mower on this forum.
I'm from Belgium (Europe)

vintage Bobcat self propelled mower find
Well, I went and broke the new truck in on my first acquisition in years. I found this (Unverified) 1974 BobCat 21" self propelled mower.
I just happened to be looking through the facebook community yard sales and came across this little gem.

The BobCat was manufactured by Wisconsin Marine out of Lake Mills Wisconsin. The P.O. even threw in extra belts that were NOS!
I couldn't resist, he pulled it out from under a tarp behind a generator and shifted the throttle in start and first pull it started! The belt drives worked perfectly, no cracks in the magnesium deck, all the original decals, handle grips were original, not a spot of rust in the gas tank, original wheels and rims with zerk fittings, etc.
The only real flaws were a small chip on the edge of the front deck (Pictured) and a slightly chewed up corner on one of the belt drive shrouds.
I'm not sure if I want to do anything to it short of a good cleaning, tightening up a few wheel bolts and maybe replacing the home made discharge shoot that looks a bit "over" repaired.. LOL

B&S 35HP Offset Key for Flywheel
I have an 05 Scag w/a B&S 35HP that I changed the alternator & it requires an offset key for the key way on the flywheel. It needs to go in the right way or the opposite will throw it out of time. If I am standing at the rear facing forwards; does it offset to the left or right. I went to the local Scag dealer; but they had NO manual on it & gave me a guesstimate!! I cannot find anything on line.

Chinese Mower parts
Early-curbed a Chinese Lawn Devil mower a while back-thought I'd use it for parts. Justg for grins, does anyone know where I could get parts? Need the height adjustment parts-front and rear. It's a self-propelled rear drive. The Chinese-clone Honda runs good and starts the first pull.
The only sticker I found is Zhejiang Dobest Power Tools dated 12/2013

MadsDeeres John Deere JS63 Restoration project
Hi all,
Late last year I got my hands on a 2003 John Deere JS63 walk behind mower for free.
It got the old John Deere logos on and isnt in it best shape after some years of storage in the barn to the previous owner.
I will post updates with pictures of the project when I have some time left to get going. :tango_face_smile:
Do anybody know where this mowers are manufactured?
I be happy and thankful for help and advice on the road :tango_face_smile:

hr215 transmission
does anyone know if a hydromatic tranny ( 20001-VD6-305) can be used to replace a 3 speed tranny on a hr215 or hr215K1. seems as if in hrc216 series honda has gone away from the 3 speed and the 2 hr215 mowers I have they seem to not shift well and get stuck on 1 speed after awhile. thanks

Hey guys;
My name is Frank. I like to run (very) long distances, thus my user name. I have a little experience with small engines, but there are only two of them (both snow throwers) in the family. I use an electric lawnmower. Still a small engine I guess...
I am old enough to remember carburetors on automobiles. Had some issues and learned how to repair them, but it's been a long time.
My strength is with electrical, electronics, and computers. I am also a ham radio operator (but don't get on the air much lately).
I hope I can be of some help to the members of this forum.

Snow thrower won't start
Hey guys;
My brother has an Airens model 921030 2-stage snow thrower. It's about 5 years old. This machine has had issues with starting in the past, and a couple days ago when we had a light snowfall, he was unable to start it. I checked it out, but could not get it running. Here is what I know:
The spark plug was wet - so I am assuming the engine was flooded from the multiple starting attempts
There is a spark. I pulled the plug out, and was able to observe a spark when the engine was cranked using the electric starter
The spark plug looks OK. There doesn't appear to be any carbon buildup, and I didn't see any cracks. The plug was replaced 1 or 2 years ago.
The gas in the tank is very old. Probably 4-1/2 years old. I had added Stabil to the gas, and applied a tag to the can. That tag reads 7/15, indicating I added the Stabil in July 2015.
I am fairly certain that the machine started and ran OK in early November. Could already stale gas go completely bad in only 2-1/2 months?
I left the spark plug out in hopes the engine would dry out in a week or so, then plan to return and replace the gas with a fresh tank.
One thing I am unsure about is whether I will be able to get my siphon into the tank, as it has a plastic guard which will prevent my hose from being dropped into the tank. The siphon is the one that has the metal valve at the end: How difficult is it to remove the plastic guard?
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks
FW
