Need Help with 425 Lawn Tractor

I recently bought a John Deere 425 Lawn Tractor. A couple issues have arisen. First, the solenoid in the starter was getting bad when i bought it. No buggy I'll buy a new starter and solenoid and replace them. The bottom bolt on the starter, however doesn't appear to have enough room to come all the way out with out removing other parts. That combined with the tight space its in makes it difficult to remove. I'm going to use a ratcheting wrench to make taking the bolt out a little easier. Can anyone confirm that bolt has enough room to come out without having to moving any other pieces?

Secondly, after mowing with it a few times the rear lift hydraulic pump has a whole and is pumping hydraulic fluid all over, makes the mower useless. Any tips or advice for getting that out so I can replace it would be appreciated.
