So far, NOT impressed. I have had LBs since the '70s and this is no Lawnboy, in my book.
I got this at the dump, granted. I think it's a 10324? Is that right? Anyway, it had a dirty carb and a few missing parts, broken plastic parts on the controls, etc. Nickle and dime stuff. It starts now on the first pull, every time....but it surges a bit....and yes, it has the throttle plate with the .10 hole. What a ratty sounding engine! Nothing like my F and D engine LBs; this thing sounds like an idling dirt bike. Are they normally crude sounding, by comparison? I mean, do the insides of the mufflers ever burn out? I think this may be the only Lawnboy that I really hate using. The self propel works good, though. I do like that....NOW that it's been FIXED.....
Maybe it takes about two feet of wet grass for it to smooth out and two-stroke, (Hum) instead of four-stroking the whole time? My kid said it sounded like a muscle car. Maybe that's all it's good for, to use in HIGH grass???
