I am new to the forum and to riding lawn tractors. I just purchased, but have yet to receive, a Husqvarna YTH22V46 from Lowe's. The tractor will be delivered on Tuesday 06/28/16.
After wading through the various reviews at Lowe's website (after making the online purchase, very unusual for me...I am a research before purchase fiend) I was not as excited about my purchase as I was when I was making my purchase...feeling a little buyer's remorse. Then I started looking at the reviews for the other lawn tractors sold by Lowe's and I started seeing a patter. Every single lawn tractor received very mixed reviews but every single one received reviews that were 75% to 80% 4 or 5 stars. So, my concerns were resolved.
However, some concerns persisted and were a result of the common complaints in the reviews on Lowe's website. Here are two:
1. Some of the reviewers complained about mower deck spindle issues and the need to replace them frequently within the first year of ownership. The reviewers stated that they had not run over anything large to have caused the spindle to break but I don't know how truthful they were inn their review.
2. Another common complaint was the placement of the fuel tank and the "hassle" entailed in filling the tank. To that end, I took a good hard look at the YTH24V48 because of the exterior fuel port. I pretty quickly determined that the 48-inch deck would be overkill for my 1.5 acre lawn with numerous trees.
So, in light of the reviews I have cited and just general curiosity, can you share your opinions of the YTH22V46 with me?
