So I have a Kawasaki FC150V that I mounted on my Snapper 21401PS. The blade adapter will physically fit but it used a 1/8" wide woodruff key on the B&S that it was removed from. The Kawa is a wider key. I have not been able to measure it yet.
I don't think I can find the correct step key to fit so my question is:
Is it acceptable to use set screws to secure the blade adapter to the crankshaft? And should I use pointed or flat set screws? If so, I think I would plan on drilling and tapping for 2 screws that would be wide enough to fit more snugly in the crankshaft keyway.
Edit: A later thought - Does anyone know of a blade adapter that will work on the Kawa without modification? I'm fine with using a different blade.
