Scored a free HR194!

Guy at work said his grandparents had a old Honda mower that was just sitting around taking up space and would be more than happy to give it to me just to free up the space. He had no idea what model it was though, but he brought it in for me today. Its a HR194. I was hoping it would be a 214, but hey, I'm not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth Anyways, they bought a new Honda 2 years ago, so its been sitting since then, they said it starts but dies. I'm guessing the carb just needs cleaned out and maybe a tune up. A quick inspection revealed that there are some chunks broken out of the center of the deck and the blade bolts were loose. I'm guessing the blade being loose is probably what hit the deck and broke it. The blade looks ok yet, but the bolts, while they came out ok, look like they should be replaced. I have a non running HRM215 sitting around that I'm hoping the blade bolts from it will work in this one. Havn't had any time to mess with it other than a quick inspection. My questions to you guys are, will the chunks missing out of the deck hurt it anything? and the pic I took of the intake side of the engine show a hose coming off the air cleaner, before the carburetor, should the other end of that be hooked up to something? The rest of the mower looks to be in pretty good shape. All in all, I can't complain for free
