Scrap-picked this gem last week. It's a Toro TC-5000 with a brush-cutter blade. WHAT A TANK! And not too heavy either. Due to the design of the primer, I filled the tank, held the button in on the card, and simply purged all the water right out the back! Got a good laugh when it started second pull. Had to home-make a new throttle trigger, the original was shot. Formed it from JBWeld, and it seems to hold up just fine. When I found it, the drive-shaft just BARELY turned. Now it will turn.. but it shakes like heck and screeches. At first I suspected the gearbox, but now I can feel it shaking in one spot of the drive shaft. So.. the parts diagram shows just a shaft and tube.. but I can see bushing's down the shaft. So I now have to figure out how to punch them down or out. Anyone have experience with these? I need to make up a new handle too..
