HI, This is driving me nuts. I have an opposed twin briggs 17 here that was flooding and dumping gas in the oil. Took the carb apart to find somebody had unsucessfully tried to get the brass float valve seat out before. My sister owned this before I did and hired a gentleman to fix a flooding issue. Long story short....... I tapped what was left of the brass seat and pulled it out. No big deal. Well the needle and seat kit I got was definately wrong. The brass seat is far too big to fit in place of the old one. It was kit 394682. All my research says this carb with built in fuel pump should have a 394683. My parts guy disagrees but has *ordered the 394683* direct from the Nederlands with a week and a half delivery time :dunno:. He claims they have NEVER ordered one before or ever needed one. His computer and mechanic says 682 should work, but it doesn't obviously. My Question is does the 394683 brass seat insert have a smaller *outside* diameter than the 394682?
