Hey all. I am working on an older 96 rear engine rider, 8 1/2 hp with 30 inch cut.
I already have #19, #22 and #23 installed but am having a hard time getting everything back together tight the way it was from the factory. I don't want to over tighten those half inch sheet metal screws, but I am starting to give up on getting this thing tight. It IS jacked up and steering off of the ground, so no friction or cross threading.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for putting this stamped steering system back together tight and right? It just doesn't seem like its going back together the way it was.
