Hello all, I have a 2007 Toro ZX525 zero turn and the left hydraulic motor is going out on it.. The motor is discontinued so I can't find one anywhere and am trying to figure out whether it is worth trying to have the motor rebuilt by someone or just junking/parting out the mower.
.
The irritating thing is that if the mower has 500 hours on it, I would be surprised. I bought it in 2007 to mow a 2.7 acre lot and then sold the lot in 2009 so I used it since then for 10 minutes at a time to mow my small back yard..
.
Everything works perfect on it...except the left hydraulic motor...
.
Had a mechanic for a local lawn care business my buddy owns take it apart and he pointed out which parts need to be replaced on the schematic, and I found them.....for about $700.
.
But if I replace the parts, pay the guy to tear it down again and put them in, and then the right motor craps out, then I am screwed again..
.
So fix it or part it out and buy a new one???
