My cousin's GT 3000 series has a p/s problem. When first started and for roughly 45 min's thereafter the p/s works great then suddenly it stops working. The hydrostat drive and deck lift continuing working no problem even after the p/s goes away. As a wild guess; maybe somethings gone bad in the directional valve at the bottom of the steering column? Unfortunately I've no gauges to test the pressure so I'm stuck and need some ideas of what may have gone south. I don't want to go thru the time/work and busted knuckles of pulling parts based on my best "guess" because I'm stumped over this one. How can it work great then 45 min's later it doesn't?
