Hi Everyone,
I'm having trouble with the carb on my recently acquired 72 Sears Suburban
lawn tractor. It will run briefly with the choke fully out then dies. The fuel pump seems to be delivering gas to the float chamber.
So far I have given the carb a good cleaning and played with a range of settings on the main jet.
I understand the main jet is the one on the bottom of the float bowl and the one higher on the carb is the slow speed jet. Correct?
Standard settings for both jets is 1-11/2 turns out?
One thing I'm not sure of is that the little spring that supports the float is installed correctly. Is there a diagram or instructions anywhere explaining how that is fit correctly?
Any advice on how to proceed will be much appreciated.
Thanks /John
