Hey y'all. So in between things I've had a few chances to take a closer look at this machine. (Don't think I mentioned this before, in my post re: gas/oil mixture, but this was a recent garage sale find.)
Please take a look at the attached picture if you will. I'm no small engine expert but I do believe the choke plate needs to be connected in some way to something(s), no? By way of springs and/or other form of linkage?
So right now starting is a little awkward, but I can get it done - but once I do I have to hold the choke plate open or else I just get smoke city because it's basically running in half choke (or thereabouts).
Unfortunately, the only exploded parts diagrams I have don't seem to include the throttle linkage, so not only do I not have part numbers but I don't even know what's supposed to go to and from the two small holes on top of the choke plate "lever" (I'm sure there's an actual name for that). And no pictures I can find seem to give me a good close-up.
Can anyone help with parts ID? Pictures, part numbers, anything to help me on my way?
Thanks so much! -Dan
