I purchased a used/not running Yard Machines lawnmower with a 4.5 HP B&S engine, hoping I could get it running. I replaced the fuel line, which was plugged, cleaned the carburetor (gravity fed, no diaphragm, no adjustment screws) making sure all the passages are open, checked the oil level, checked air cleaner, and ran carbon cleaner through the engine. Now it starts but runs very rough, as shown in this YouTube video:
It splatters out gas on the carburetor side and blows black smoke out of the exhaust side, and even drips some oil from the muffler. Manually operating the governor helps some, but it still does not run right. I dont know what else to try, need Help!!
