New Toro Personal Pace 20334

Just got a new Toro PP with electric start Model 20334 last night at Home Depot. I needed to replace my older Toro PP 20068 model (2008) with its failing rear drive system. The mower was easy to assemble, just attach the handle and add oil and gas. Charged the battery overnight and it started right up this morning after I figured out how to install the plastic starter button. Toro needs more directions on that. I like the way it mows. This model has a deeper deck than my older model and seems to mulch better. The PP rear wheel drive worked very well and did not try to run away from me as I limped behind it. My wife finished mowing the yard for me ( knee surgery scheduled next week) and she said she really liked having a good self propel system again. My one con might be the lack of the blade brake like the older model. On this new model the blade has to be engaged to start the motor and when you release the blade lever the mower stops. I suppose that may be safer but I liked the ability to keep the mower running and use the drive system without the blade turning. When did Toro drop that feature? Why? Legalities?

So after one use I have to say I like this new mower. Let's hope it holds up as well as the older one has. The only issues with the old one are failure of the drive gear keys/springs on the rear axle which screws up the PP drive. Its engine has never missed a start. I hope this new one does same.
