I've got this delux F-engine self-propelled aluminum deck mower that uses the drive system where a gear drives cogs moulded into the inside of the rear wheel rims. The dogs on the gears for each wheel work fine, allowing the mower to freewheel forward, but pulling back, there is a bit of resistance. I do notice the drive shafts rotate when pulling back, could it be old thick grease in the gearbox for the drive?
