Good Morning all. I'm a JD fan and own two JD GT 275's, 48" decks, 42" snow blowers, and a blade. Power flow systems and the works. I'm a new member in search of help on a JD GT275. It has a 17hp Kawasaki engine and it's in need of help. It has blue smoke and have the nerve to dig into it to get it healthy again. But It turns out that the numbers on it don't seem to match what my local JD store says is right. but I some advice on where to get real spec's on the Single cylinder engine. i.e. ACR release? and where to to find the crankcase vent? if any.
I have check the compression on the in question and it came back at 120psi. and the other was 150psi. The manual says more that 75psi is possible an issue.
So many questions, but one by one an opportunity to resolve the problem.
