Hi. My X304, with 223 hours, was working fine. I mowed for the first time this spring and it was fine. A week later, after mowing for around 15-20 minutes, the PTO shut off. I played with the PTO switch and nothing. I shut the tractor off and checked connections, switches, and anything I could think of. After lunch, I tried mowing again and the PTO engaged. Great, for about five minutes, then it shut off again. I talked with the local dealer and they said the clutch is bad. I bought a new clutch and replaced it. It still shuts off after mowing 15-20 minutes and it won't restart until things cool down. The tractor starts fine. The battery did go down last winter and required charging. The charging system is working. I rechecked all the wiring and switches. I don't see any issues. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be the problem? I hate to take it to the dealer. Thanks.
