I need to remove and install a new starter solenoid on a Scotts 1642H lawn tractor. On my two Wheel Horses it is an easy replacement but the engineers must have had a laugh when they placed the one on the Scotts.
There are bolts that come up from the bottom holding the solenoid to the body and the bolts are Phillips heads. They are in a location that you can not get to them.
So what do I need to remove to do the replacement...what is the secret?
Right now I am using a stand a lone battery and jumping the starter.
