Hello fellas. I recently purchased a D105 at Lowes and was offered the opportunity to purchase, for $269.97 a 2 year extension which increases the warranty period to 4 years.
I've got to decide within 30 days of purchase whether I'd like to add the additional coverage. The sales person also indicated that Lowes would take the lead on any warranty repairs if I chose to purchase the additional coverage. If I have a problem with the tractor, I contact Lowes and they work with JD on resolving the issue.
I've never purchased an extended warranty for anything in the past but I'm thinking that the cost of JD replacement parts plus labor might make this a good investment.
What say you - think I'd make up the $270 over the course of the 3rd & 4th years or is it a waste of money?
