I have another question to throw out. In the bear future, I will most likely be buying a new walk behind lawn mower. From reading a number of the posts, a Honda seems to be the way to go. This is difficult for a person who has owned Craftsman Briggs and Strattons for the last 45 years. Anyway, my question involves the Smart Drive self propelled system. Is the handle push bar paddle comfortable to operate, say for periods of time in the 30 minute range? I have never had a self propelled system so I have no reference point(s). Most of my neighbors have lawn services, so no help there. None of the remaining neighbors have Honda lawn mowers, so, again, no help.
Briefly, I thought about a new Craftsman, but it does not sound like the newer model self propelled drive trains hold up.
