I am hoping you all can help me. I am learning small engine repair. I have a book called "small engines", authorized by Briggs and Stratton. So far as to what I have read, I have memorized word for word. By the time I get done reading this book I will have forgotten what I have memorized, word for word, and I will have to start over. My question is, what can I do to memorize what I have learned without having to memorize everything word for word. I suppose just having an understanding of what I have learned is enough. Also, there is a lot of what we called in Tech school in the Air Force a lot of "gee whiz" information that I really don't need to know. Is just an understanding enough on the subject of small engine repair or do I have to memorize this info word for word.
