Hustler Fastrac won't engage blades

Hi,
I have a Hustler Fastrac 44". When I bought the mower it it had a Honda 17hp on it. The Honda needed to be fully rebuilt and I had a Briggs & Statton 20 HP laying there so installed the Briggs on the Hustler. The Briggs came of a old Craftsman rider with a Manuel clutch and the Hustler has a electric clutch. When I try to engage the blades the engine stalls. If I pull the clutch out for 2 seconds or so and push it back in and out multiple times sometimes I can get the blades to start spinning fast enough to stay running. I can start the mower and drive it just fine, but as soon as I try to engage the blades it stalls and almost dies. The seat safety switch has been bypassed by the previous owner so that is ruled out. I couldn't find any parking brake switch anywhere that might be bad, but sometimes if you wiggle the levers a little, sometimes it will engage he blades just fine on the first try. So maybe there is one I may have missed?

Also somebody told me it may possibly be the stator because it came off a Manuel clutch and put on a electric clutch?

I have tried to engage the clutch with out the belt on and it does not stall. It's like the blades are putting to much load on the engine to keep them spinning.

The mower blades will all spin freely if you turn them by hand.

All the spindles and idler pulleys seem fine.

I have good spark with it running and doesn't change when I try to engage the blades.

Engine Model is: 407777 type:0167

Thanks Guys for the help!
