I recently re-built the Dana transaxle on my Craftsman riding mower. I took 4 weeks of work or rather much of that time was spent finding the needed parts since the transaxle is no longer made and most parts not available. After re-assembly I had one part that I could not figure out exactly where it attaches. My bad for not taking pictures. Didn't think it would take this long. In the IPL for the rider it show the brake return spring, but not where or how it attaches. The spring is about an inch long with a large hook on one end and a small hook on the other end. Its shown near the actuating lever but not how or where it attaches. Its just kind of out there. For reference if you need to see this on your tractor, with the drawbar cover off, you can probably see this from the rear on the right side. A photo will probably be worth a thousand words.
Another question is concerning the friction pucks to the brake disc. Anyone know where these can be found or any kind of material I can make some? Not having much luck finding these on the internet. One is about worn in two. Thanks.
