For informational purposes for replacement parts.

When I worked for a Jacobsen (residential type) Dealer as mechanic in late 1980's into early 90's, when Textron still owned Homelite & Jacobsen. Textron decided to get out of Residential side of the business, not making enough profit was the claim? and decided to go all TURF Equipment by the early 90's. Homelite was sold later on. Some Parts were starting to be discontinued "BACK THEN" for the older stuff like 321 and 501 engines before I left dealer in 1991.

In later years I found out that gasket set 500035 used on 321 & 501 engines got discontinued, along with some magneto parts. During the later years as of 2005 the dealer I worked @ was buying parts from a turf company that made the jake gaskets.

These are aftermarket gaskets! so note this. They have use several of these gaskets and gasket sets and had good results, in the older snow-jet & snow burst snowblowers, along with 321 mower engine. The crankshaft seals are also available & sold here too! Jacobsen.com still shows an active part number the original 309749 head gaskets, but not sure how available they are a lot original Jake stuff is discontinued.

R&R products.com out Texas, is stamping high quality gasket kits along with most engine gaskets sold separate. Just use the the old jake 501 engine part numbers using a R prefix with the jake part. some of the jake 321 engine gasket numbers superceed to 501 numbers. So please note this. As of 12/2015 these are still available.

Standard magneto.com also stamps the original points & condenser for these engines yet (parts of phelon-prestolite-wico) were bought by standard magneto in late 90's after they exited the O.E business.

The jake 500407 points to SM (1-5025) and condenser 314457 SM (1-5016) SM= standard Magneto Part. As 12/2015 its still available. If remember right? I think the Tecumseh 30560 coil was possibly a good replacement for this mag? but I could be wrong?

Good luck, hope this helps?
