I have a fever, and the only prescription is more John Deere!!!
Why is it that the 14SB, 14SE, 14SX, JX75, JE75, and JX85's are ______________?(fill in the blank because I can't think of any words) Ever since I got mad that the restoration project took a big halt when the deck on the one I got was cracked and isn't going as planned. Turning it into a parts mower. So, I started searching around and found the following:
30 miles away I found a 5.5 hp 14SE dirty, needs a tune-up, but in pretty good shape.
45 miles away, a 1999 JX75 that has nothing more than a few scrapes in paint and everything works for $250.00.
65 miles away are a JX75 and JE75 for $40.00 each. Neither have working transmissions, but the rest of the machines are in great shape and work according to the add.
95 miles away is a JE75- dirty, deck in very good shape, comes with all attachments, needs new blade and battery but for $125.00 it sounds like a good deal.
Probably to many of these are as they say "to good to be true." I definitely won't drive for the very far ones. Might give the closest one a shot, appears to be decent. Feel free to comment.
