Hi all. I been lookin around these forums gettin lots of great information about garden tractors. With my budget, i was leaning towards a husqvarna. It seems ya gotta dig deep for info on the differences of all the lawn and garden tractors.
This will be my first garden tractor, and hopefully ill make the right decision for what i need. I have about 1.5 to 2 acres that will need mowed. We used to have 2 horses in that area, dear wife finally decided to give them other homes. :ThumbUp:. Boy was it a mess, it had lots of mud that just got worse with the hoof prints holding water, couldnt get it to drain. My helpful neighbor brought his atv and disc'd it all for me. That was a blessing!
Anyhow, theres a few slopes, maximum 13 degrees but is about 60 feet by 40 ft. Also a few swails. Was wondering if i should get a GT with differential lock? And would 23 inch rear tires help from slipping more than 20 tires? Im thinking the husqvarna gt 48 xls or the gt52 xls. The 52 seems better for the kawasaki engine, and hydro gear transaxle, but i dont think it has differential lock. Decisions decisions. The 48 has diff lock, and would fit through the shed doors easier, but has a briggs endurance engine. Besides cutting grass, id like to do a little grading before planting grass and maintaining a gravel driveway.
