The little but mighty 408

So I went and done it again, grabbed up another project. My poor wife doesn't know what to do with me and I'm pretty sure she thinks I've lost my mind.
It's a '73 408 rider. I had one of these years ago and sold it to a friend who still has and uses it. I guess I just didn't know what I had at the time and always kind of regretted selling it.
It will be mostly used to entertain my grand kids, letting them ride around the farm when they come by for a visit.
But for now it will wait it's turn while I finish up a few other things I have started. I will be going through the mechanical and electrical portions and making it a solid runner then once the kids got better at driving it without hitting anything I'll do the paint and new decals.
I'll pick this thread back up again when I get to working on it but for now here's some pictures to wet your appetites.







There's plenty of issues to address but it runs good. It'll need new rubber and some general maintenance and I'll need to weld up a crack in the transmission case. It's aluminum and I've fixed that before so it shouldn't be too bad.
