Just signed up. Recently picked up from my dad the 16" Jacobsen push mower I used as a money-maker as a kid in the 70's. The poor deck on this thing looks like it's been through a war - it's patched up but still going. I think it's on it's third engine now - I slightly more modern B&S 3.5.
I didn't appreciate how light the old Jacobsen is until a built up a junked 22" Craftsman using a similar Briggs 3.5. That thing is like pushing a tank around the yard. Granted, it was meant to be self-propelled.
