SO I was all excited about the re-install of the deck to my JD L111. After installing some new blades and Repairing a Shot Spindle Bearing ( will make separate post)!
I scanned over the manual for routine maintenance and lube locations. They mention about checking the spacing on the brake pads and DOop!! One is missing. My local shop wants $15 for the whole new brake bracket. I am going to look in my garage for a possible substitute, like perhaps an old bike pad (OR some hard rubber) that I may be able to get epoxied on.
I would be very curious as to the hear from the worldly members on advise for substitutes materials.:dunno::scratch:
