Honda style

I have tinkered with old garden tractors for years and enjoy this as a hobby. I just picked up a newer Honda.
Trying to get a handle on how to fix this.
I really like the swivel front wheels, (like my old Snapper). So I got this one. I can not raise the wheels high enough for cutting StAugustine grass.
The mower is difficult to pull backwards, 2nd and 3rd gear do not seem to engauge and it takes a lot of push to keep it moving forward.
I thought this Forum might help me answer some questions
