Just purchased a new rear discharge 26hp diesel ZT mower, it cuts and runs great but I was wondering about changing the blades.
Can anyone provide advice about who makes a good cutting/mulching blades?
Should I stay with the OEM blades? Or is there something better?
The reason I'm asking is I would like to have a spare set ready for when I need them. Before I pick up new set from the dealer I thought I'd ask if I should look at a different brand and style.
As for the mower, I would recommend it. The only downfall is rinsing the deck after use so I built a spray bar manufactured with a length of 3/4" copper pipe and drilled holes along the to length and mounted it to a steel C Chanel frame and now when I'm done mowing I simply turn on the water and drive back and forth over the spray and it rinses the fresh clippings. I know this will substitute from a good cleaning but so far it keeping the bulk of the debris from building up.
