OK, I'll admit to being a bit of a neat freak when it comes to keeping my mowers clean. After mowing the yard and letting them cool down for a bit, I like to spray the underside of the deck down to wash off any clippings, etc. Have been doing it this way for years on my 14PZs. I recently acquired a 14SB and my friend who is a mower mechanic tells me that if I rinse the underside of the SB too soon (without letting it fully cool), I'll dramatically shorten the life of my blade brake bearings, etc. He was recommending waiting until the next day after mowing to clean the deck. Any truth to this from experience?
