Hi, all. Just picked up an '84 JD 111, and am eager to learn the tips and tricks of maintenance and repair of it. The neighbor sold it cheap when they bought a Cub Cadet, and I enjoy bringing things back from "the brink".
We mostly live in SoCal, but the family still has a small place in northern Minnesota, where the Deere 111 is located and will be used.
I am currently gathering parts and know-how to get it reliable again, as it is noisy from bad belt-pulley bearings, and has some starting quirks. I'm familiar with the Briggs 11-horse engine, and it started right up when primed and choked, so it may just be a fuel pump problem.
I'm a member of many forums, for a bunch of different subjects, and I'm familiar with V-Bulletin, so won't have a forum-navigation problem.
Thanks for allowing me to roam amongst y'all!
