Yard machine 21"

This thing is giving me a migrain! Starts great, runs nice but stalls after a few minutes of use, and wont restart for about an hour. Carb cleaned, fresh fuel. Spark test with an open air tester shows spark, but not blue spark, more yellowish.
Is this a surr sign of a bad coil or could it be an easier ( cheaper) fix?
