Hello - been working on getting my Lawnboy 10685, 4-stroke, ready for the season. New breather tube (was leaking oil), oil change, new drive belt, regreased gearbox, lube wheels etc - running great.
However, the engine is crazy LOUD. It has been loud for a while now, but it is worrying me now (that I have spent all this time and $$ on tuning it up etc). Not muffler noise loud, but engine/piston loud. Runs smooth and strong, starts right up, no smoke, self propel system rocks with the new belt and regreasing - just the engine noise it horrible. It's not smoking or anything.
Could it be the valves? If so, how do I check / replace them?
Appreciate the help.
