I've got a model 917.270821 with 19.5HP Briggs. I have replaced all the spindles and bearings. Installed new belt per owners manual. The problem is the belt never stays tight and after about four mowing's the belt gets shredded and throws off the pulleys. Would the cause be a worn out double drive pulley? I am currently on my third belt this year.
