Hello all,
Having a strange problem with my riding mower.
Starting this year, and this year only (had the mower about 9 years), every time I go to start the mower, it feels like a very low battery. But even with a freshly charged battery, and with a brand new one, the problem persists.
To start it, I have to jump it with my car or truck, and I have to rev the vehicle for a few minutes before there's enough juice for the mower to start.
Once it starts, no problems (well, apart from it being a Crapsman). And it will restart without issue once I've mowed for an hour or so. So it seems like the charging system is working as expected. But the next day, it's back to the same old grind, literally.
I tried disconnecting the positive battery terminal after mowing one weekend, but by the next weekend, same problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jeff
